HOPEHIV 2010 Kenya Business Starter Training

Project details

Partner(s):

HOPEHIV commissioned SAIE to train and equip trainers to encourage and develop entrepreneurship in Nairobi using the BEST Game incorporated into Business Starter, including the Best game and Agri Best.

HOPEHIV is committed to working with local African community partners to pioneer new ideas and share lessons that have worked well in practice in the areas of Entrepreneurship and also (HIV) Peer education, street children, Community Kids' Clubs, Creative Arts Therapy, Education, Leadership development and fostering (foster parenting). HOPEHIV believes that the future of Africa will largely be decided by the next generation of young leaders who emerge from the community of those orphaned by AIDS. From this generation of orphans, can come a generation of leaders of families, schools, communities, nations and businesses. More information about Hope HIV may be read on their website http://www.hopehiv.org/page

SAIE’s Best Game training was thus a befitting skills portfolio to be infused into the Kenyan society.

Our Involvement:

Independent agents conduct the training after receiving master trainer training from SAIE. SAIE service providers and staff may conduct the training on behalf of the firm. The training is usually customized to meet the unique characteristics of the recipient groups.

Project Progress:

Two organizations received SAIE training and acquired training licenses and materials under the auspices of Hope HIV in Nairbobi, Kenya. These are organisations are: Undugu Society and ANNAPCAN. Twenty one participants attended the training from the above-mentioned organizations. SAIE has arrangements to send each of the trainers a certificate to recognize them as trainers.
