The group was working together well although we had occasion in the 2nd module where the team who was the retailer chose to look after their own interests only and not seek a viable partnership with the 2 manufacturers. This meant the manufacturers went bankrupt which then meant that the retailer went bankrupt soon thereafter. What a lesson was learnt there and then. The next 2 modules we saw a win-win-win situation and the profit made by all was so much better.

It was also interesting in that people from outside of the church attended as they wanted to receive the business training and in that space they met up and worked with the group from CHotN. This they have indicated will lead to further partnership in the future. One of the learning points that most of the trainees learnt was to plan for their business. It is interesting how many people picked upon this during their feedback time. Not only to plan in terms of budgeting for home, business and saving – but also to plan what to sell, how to make it and where to sell. This is critical in terms of longevity of their business
