Our Involvement:SAIE’s offers both Internship and Learnership opportunities to students from different universities and colleges from any part of the world. Our portfolio of past internships includes student from New York and Arizona in the USDA as well as Wits University and Tsiba College. Depending on the competencies of each student, they are assigned to specific staff members who give them an induction and work with them throughout the duration of the entire period. Students enjoy a rich learning environment and have the opportunity to ask questions and take part in the company’s activities across the board from office work to field visits. Laurie Miller, a International Business student from University of Cincinnati, Ohio, specialized in Management Information Systems at SAIE. Project Progress:Laurie interned at SAIE from July 7th - Aug 29th 2008. Laurie grasped the MIS really quickly and was operating on the system by herself. The internship of Laurie Miller was designed to revolve mainly around the Management Information Systems. The tasks involve loading information on the system, business process engineering and re-engineering and general system maintenance. She has also had the opportunity to participate in field visits and to assist with research for SAIE's EntrEval. |
