Partner(s):Living Way is a non-profit organization that is working economically empower people from under-resourced communities in Cape Town, South Africa. Their objective is to help people to break their cycle of poverty one family at a time. This helps with job creation, poverty alleviation, self help and sustainability. For more information on Living Way, please visit their website http://www.livingway.org.za Our Involvement:The communities that benefit from Living Way's projects receive SAIE’s AgriPlanner training in order to achieve the technical competencies necessary for them to operate their micro agribusiness more professionally. Eight (8) recipients of AgriPlanner training diffuse their know-how to the broader communities through subsequent trainings and mentoring. SAIE’s material is also user-friendly making them appropriate for communities with large disparities in literacy levels. Project Progress:Eight workbooks and one kit was issued for Living Way’s AgriPlanner programme. Eight facilitators were trained in November 2008. |
